    A tranquil sanctuary to sit and enjoy

    Area: Brockworth, Gloucestershire
    The garden:
    A small courtyard space which needed bringing to life and adding relaxing elements such as soft landscaping, running water and comfortable garden furniture.

    Transformation into Relaxation

    The brief:
    We were asked to transform this unappealing and stark space, bordered by red brick into a relaxing sanctuary to sit and enjoy.

    Everyday escapism

    The design:
    Central to the garden, a Corten steel channel balances over layered varied sized rocks, creating a river of soothing running water. The polished porcelain finish creates a contemporary feel to the courtyard.

    The yew hedging brings an element of privacy from surrounding neighbours. Green foliage and the movement of running water alleviate the harsh exterior brick walls, creating a comfortable space of serenity. The courtyard space acts as an escape from everyday life.
