The Earth has music for those that listen

    The brief:
To transform the unused sloped area into a haven for wildlife with water.

In times of crisis the natural world is a source of joy and solace. It produces the comfort that can come from nothing else.

    Sir David Attenborough
    The design:
A beautiful pool was made of Cotswold stone walls to allow seating at the edges to enjoy the wildlife within the pond at eye level. A mass of nautralistic planting was designed to envelope this pool to attract insects and create a colourful surround. The pool is a humming life source of dragonflies, damselflies, bees, wasps, butterflies, frogs newts, waterboatmen and so much more. Birds and so much wildlife visit this little oasis. A stone pathway allows a immersive feel to walk up into the surrounding garden and gives alternative views of the space.
